Child Care Resource & Referral Center (CCR&R)
The Southeast CCR&R is one of eleven Centers created
throughout Tennessee.
The CCR&R continues to work closely with DHS Licensing
to improve the quality
of child care in Tennessee. Services are available to
licensed Family, Group and
Center providers.
The Child Care Resource & Referral Center serves
Hamilton, Bledsoe,
Bradley, Grundy, McMinn, Marion, Polk and Sequatchie
Counties by providing
free access to technical assistance, site visits, lending
library, health consultation,
inclusion consultation and workshop trainings. The
CCR&R assists child care
providers with developmentally appropriate activities for
their own location, such as
arts, music, and behavioral management.
Tennessee has in place a Star Quality Program that includes
assessment of the
environment for all licensed programs. The summary report
from that assessment
is used by the CCR&R to help providers improve the
quality of their programs for
families and children. www.tnstarquality.org
The Child Care Resource & Referral Center produces a
quarterly newsletter that
is mailed to all child care providers that includes a
complete training calendar and
news of national, state and local interest on child care
topics.
