Chattanooga Area Association for the Education of Young Children
                Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to be your new President of Chattanooga Area Association for the Education of Young Children. I spent a year as President Elect learning from our Past President Karen Whaley and hope to continue the good work she has done. I can tell you the board members are committed to serving the providers of this community and put in many volunteer hours each week to ensure wonderful opportunities for the early childhood professionals within the 10 counties we serve together.
I currently direct a non-licensed preschool and Parent’s Day Out program at Brainerd United Methodist Church but prior to that I have worked in many areas of early childhood. I have worked in public schools and corporate childcare centers in Indiana before moving to Miami where I operated a licensed Family Child Care Home for special needs preschoolers. I worked as a Resource and Referral counselor, Directed centers, and worked for the University of Miami as a state trainer on special needs children.
I was able to serve as a National Accreditation Observer for NAFCC and served on many boards while Florida was developing their universal pre-k pro-gram. I am also a National Red Cross Instructor and in my spare time, I hang out with my husband and children ages, 5, 6, and 20. I am truly grateful for the work all of you do to ensure our children are safe, healthy, and life-long learners.

                Sincerely,

                Emily Nasca
